Special Municipal Election November 7, 2017

A Special Municipal Election was called to be held in the City of Rolling Hills on November 7, 2017 to place the measure that was removed from the ballot when the March election was cancelled on the ballot for consideration in November. The following question will be considered:

“Shall an ordinance be adopted repealing the March 2013 amendments made to the City’s View Preservation Ordinance by Measure B?”

This election will be consolidated with any other local elections being held on the same day and will be administered by the County of Los Angeles. Consolidating the election will result is a considerable cost savings as compared to conducting a stand alone election. The notice and Resolutions pertaining to the election are available below:

Arguments IN FAVOR OF or AGAINST City Measures 

California Elections Code Section 9281 allows registered voters to submit arguments in favor of or against any city measure being submitted to the voters. Each argument may have no more than five signatures. Arguments, along with an Argument and Rebuttal Form of Statement must be submitted to the City Clerk at Rolling Hills City Hall, 2 Portuguese Bend Road, Rolling Hills by 5:00 p.m. on July 10, 2017.
